    Rear opening windows

I've always loved the winding of the window as it is so ridiculous. I can't see how the gearbox can be ******. I'll live with it.

    Inspection hatch ?

I can see this making this job easy but I did my alternator in about 1.5 hours in my drive without removing engine or even the carb inlets. A lot of jiggling the tinware with large screwdrivers as bars to allow me to remove the alternator and fan in one go, and ultimately refit it.

    Modern and custom made ?

So today is my day of reading about relays. I’ve just ordered a hot start relay… do I need one for my wipers? Not too fussed on intermittent. Less wires under dash for me please.

    Table Leg

Quick google and looks quite bulky. What's wrong with the original leg? I think it works wonders so long as the floor mount is in place.

    New engine!!

Yes, this is what you get for buying cheap. It was a cast Scatt counterweighted crank.

    New engine!!

I built a 1776 once and on its maiden voyage, my cast counter balanced crank snapped and destroyed the engine. It happened after just starting the engine after a short pub lunch. Problem turned out to be that the crank had been dropped and hence had a micro crack. It took a year but eventually...

    Gearbox oil in steering box?

I have a lot of gearbox oil and was wondering if I can top up the steering box while under the bus changing the coupler. It has to be better than none right?

    lares 209 coupler

Probably obvious when changing the coupler... What is the procedure to swap it? Does it just slide in an out when the bolts are off or does the column need to be removed/ loose? My 209 arrived and I plan on attacking it this weekend?
