Hello all,
Spotted this steering coupler on The Samba. It looks from the web site full of the twine/thread which is great.
However when reading some of the comments it turns out when it arrived, it did not live up to what was pictured.
Just wondering if anyone has one, ordered one or if they know where to get one in the UK?

I fitted one a while back (group buy on LB) it’s a massive improvement 👍 over the poor so-called OEM replacements.

Not needed on vans with Litesteer though, as 1 or 2 found out.

Probably obvious when changing the coupler... What is the procedure to swap it? Does it just slide in an out when the bolts are off or does the column need to be removed/ loose?

My 209 arrived and I plan on attacking it this weekend?

I managed to do mine from underneath, bolts out, there’s a small amount of upwards movement possible on the inner steering column to enable the coupler to be removed. Don’t get the old and new bolts mixed up, the ones supplied with the new coupler are imperial 👍

I ordered one but am in the Litesteer camp, so not needed. Cost me £35 incl shipping and VAT, happy to let go for £20 if you want it
Did this get bought ?? If not i’d have it 🌈👍

nice advice! I can 'finally' use my imperial sockets in my set that have never been touched!

I don’t know what your horn arrangement is but I didn’t use the blue link wire that came with the coupler, just refitted existing cable back to the steering box, same as it came off.
