What's this missing pipe and do I need it?

As above really, any chance anyone can tell me what this missing pipe is by the oil filler and if it's important? Was never connected with the bus. I think there's also one missing below it that goes to the crankcase or something? The only pipe I've got that does kind of fit from the air filter...

For sale: mad matz grey & white bay mat, never used

Note: I've just lifted this pic from MadMatz's eBay listing but can take another pic if needed. It's unopened, sat in my porch, and was never installed. Nice and thick and looks good. I bought it for an old bay but then got rid of it before the mat was fitted and this new one didn't suit the...

For sale: Rear bumper irons - as new

Haven't got my phone on me to take a pic at the moment but they're brand new from JK. Can't send them back as there's a bit of oil over the label (not the irons) and I left it too long but never fitted. Think I paid about 50 quid, so say 30 including postage but it'll be the cheapest I can find...

1968 Savannah Beige Microbus from California

Did quite a bit this weekend. Well, really my dad did practically all the work this weekend – in the process he drilled his finger and also sliced a muscle in his arm with a stanley knife, resulting in a trip to A&E. Looking good though! :D Door cards and cabinets (cooker, fridge etc) will be...

    6-pot Microbus

What a great find, love it! :D Will be interested to hear how it runs on the cool engine once you're fully up and running. I have a similar skylight, though mine's over the boot area, will be tackling that in a couple of months myself. Liking the single-wheel trailer too.

Is this any good ? leisure battery kit ??

I think that's the same kit I got off eBay too, but could be wrong. Mine works great, paired it with a Halfords battery and all seems good.

1968 Savannah Beige Microbus from California

Thanks, yeah, can't fault the bus itself, very happy with it :D I have been running it on a small private road for a few weeks and tinkering with it, getting it ready, but yeah, it's still very little notice and totally different to driving it to bloody Spain! Still, the last time we made it...

    Wanted: Spare wheel with tire

I need a standard steel wheel and tire for my stock 68. Within reason, doesn't matter what kind of condition its in as long as it's safe enough for emergency use to get me to a garage (so not split, slow puncture, or completely bald). Based in North Wales so will probably need posting but can...

1968 Savannah Beige Microbus from California

Thanks, yeah I know! To be fair at the time the schedule was supposed to give us at least six weeks of running it as a daily but delay after delay ended up with a two week window. We almost cancelled but thought sod it, might as well have a crack (with breakdown cover). Yeah it took me weeks...

Fitted leisure battery, red light on intermittently

Oh christ, never mind I'm just an idiot. Needed a much bigger rev to get it to go away is all. My last couple of buses only needed a mild rev and the light went off but this one needs a really big rev.

Fitted leisure battery, red light on intermittently

Hi guys, I just had a leisure battery fitted by an air-cooled electrician and since then the generator light will often stay on for a few minutes (say up to 10 mins) while I'm driving. He's going to take a look at it next week but I'd like to sort it myself if possible before then. It starts...
