    Creative Engineering Closed shop?

Don't doubt there service Clem but id always go somewhere that have time for there customers 1st. What can be spoken about in a few minutes could amount to a dozen emails especially for someone new to Air-cooled. Heritage always get my orders because they speak to me and more often than not they...

    Creative Engineering Closed shop?

I don't use anyone who doesn't answer or worse still has no phone number advertised. I wanted to get some bits from Custom and commercial and gave up searching for a number and spent my money elsewhere

    CONFUSED.COM Flat battery

Just looking at batteries myself, thats a beast you have there, I may follow suit!! I have just noticed my light stays on at idle but goes out when I increase revs, that does rule out an alternator fault doesn't it? Cheers

    1970 White Survivor Westy

Lovely Westy you have Rob, looks nice and straight. Your gearbox sounds like right fun and games!! Wish I had the knowledge and time to be as hands on as you are. Funny thing that, all my family prefer the awning leaving me to sprawl out in comfort in the Bus too.I always give the aching groan...

    Life choices?

To keep boredom at bay I go fishing for Bass which is best done in crappy weather. The sunny days are spent with the family and the in between days I ride mountain bike trails. And of course plenty of van time and camping in the mix too. Keep meaning to have a proper crack at learning to surf...

    Exhaust

So would you say that if someone like the looks its worth getting the super flow version for a stock or mild engine then?

    Mater from San Lorenzo

Couple of update's. The Bus passed its MOT last week with a couple of minor advisories so that was some good news, tbh I was expecting it to anyhow but its a big event getting that bit of paper :D Had its final run in service today, a 123 dizzy, new coil and a rolling road tune and we are...

So do you get pointed in the right direction of the area by stewards? Forgive my stupid questions but this will be our 1st show 8)

So how does this work? Is there a early bay flag flying that everyone makes a beeline for and just pitch around it?

    Carbs or capacity?

Well I started out with a 1600 twin port with twin ict's, electronic ignition and a decent bluebird exhaust and I still struggled up the hills. I sold it, and put my money into a 1776 with twin dells and I now fly up the hills in comparison. I was going to go 2010cc but in the end decided I...

    Deep sump opinions

Yep I get that Mosely, makes perfect sense. Handy feature too if your on the continent or somewhere far away, and you know the oil can go on for a bit longer, say for the 500 mile trip home. Every year or 3k though will be the norm for mine though, nice to think you don't have to sweat it though...

    Deep sump opinions

I have a gauge sparky that Imo is proving to be pretty consistent over the 2k mile is covered on this engine. Always sits at the same temp once warmed up except it creeps up by 30f on the motorway fully loaded. It may well be this turns out to be normal for my engine/gauge as I get that its just...

    Deep sump opinions

Haha yeah funny that, he's selling it at a very good price though to be fair (20% off heritage price). Pretty sure all my tin is there, but it is the final run in service so I was thinking it may be a tight exhaust valve. The dizzy has definitely seen better days too and its also having a 123...

    Deep sump opinions

Wondering who's running a deep sump for added cooling on motorway cruising? I am being directed into getting one by my tuner and engine builder(didn't build mine). I get that they give you a safety net of having more oil if your slack checking but not convinced about the cooling side of things...

    O/G Pullys, shims & belts

What you say makes sense mate so thanks for the advise, its appreciated. Maybe the builders don't put them on performance engines as the belts don't slip to protect the fan like the stock does. That was one of my thought processes when I changed to serpentine that when screaming up a mountain...
