I have an exhaust fitting kit but I am a bit confused. Firstly is there a reason there are two of the big circular clamps, I can only see that I need one? Also where the tailpipe fits to the exhaust box should the part arrowed face towards the box or away from it? Cheers Monkey

Yeah, I opened it up and it looked fine, no corrosion or dirt. I was able to manually switch it over so that it's now set to low beam rather than high so at least I'm not peeing everyone off at night! I was hoping to use a cheaper one to identify where the problem is.

My headlamp relay looks like this. I'm struggling to find a similar one online, most are the black cube ones which also have 5 pins. I think I read somewhere that someone wired up a cube style relay to work as a replacement for my one. Is this possible or did I just dream it? Cheers Monkey

Do you know if it's possible to disassemble the indicator switch for repair as I'm getting a feeling that's where the problem is?

My lights are stuck on high beam. Should the "click" be felt in the indicator switch or will it come from the relay? I currently have no physical "click" at the indicator stalk and can't find out whether it's the relay that's broken or the indicator switch. Cheers Monkey

I can turn the key to turn on ignition but turning further to start gives me nothing. I had success previously whacking the ignition housing but even a good whack isn't doing anything now.

I feel like an idiot asking this but is this battery sealed or standard? I need to know which setting to put my charger on. It doesn't state it anywhere on the battery and searching online doesn't seem to give any advice on this model. Cheers Monkey

The good news is I've removed the steering wheel, the bad news is a hoofing chunk of Bakelite has snapped off. I have the chunk, can it be glued back in place and will the wheel still be safe to use? Cheers Monkey

Cheers for the replies! I've had a hot start relay fitted for a while now, in fact replacing the first one was part of the process of elimination to get to where I am now! Do I need to ruin wires off the starter motor or just fiddle about with what's already up front?
