    Jack & Axle Stand Height

Thanks, seen this one at Halfords, lifts to 53cm and upto 2.5 tons. I assume 2cm difference won't matter? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?msg=&catalogId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=255207&productId=898881&storeId=10001" onclick="window.open(this.href);return...

    Front Axle Grease Nipples

Just brought a jack and axle stands to do this. Where is the best jacking points and best place for the axle stands. Just worried these old buses can't take the strain of a single jack.

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

Yes, I used the spray gun that came with the compressor, heated up the waxoyl and it gave a nice fine finish. Well pleased with the finish. Would totally recommend the compressor. Added a few more pictures to my "before" and "after" album. Right, just got to do the rest of the underneath...

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

Well I used the compressor this evening, wow, what a difference. Took no time at all to complete and I am well impressed with the finish. I didn't even get too covered in waxoyl!!! Right, now I just need to start stripping the rest of the old waxoyl off so I can complete the rest of it :-)...

Screw it, I gone for buying this compressor - http://www.sgs-engineering.com/sc24h-24-litre-high-flow-air-compressor-tool-kit?___SID=U If the sprayer is not man enough, I will get one of these but I have read they do not fit the 1litre Hammerite cans, does anyone know if this is true...

Thanks cunning plan, I think I am going to go with the compressor option. Just working out if the compressor I listed above is the right one?

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

OK anyone considering applying waxoyl with a paint brush, dont! I have given one area 3 coats and the brush just pushes the waxoyl around. Tried different types of brushes and am now giving up on this approach and looking to buy an air compressor and air gun to sprasy it on. One question...

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

Looks like I missed out on that deal as Aldi have ended it :-( I have not read very good reports on the manual pump sprayer so not sure if they are any good? I was going to pop into B&Q to see if they sell very fine haired paint brushes to see if this would help reducing the brush marks. Never...

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

Thanks, maybe an option as I am thinking to get the nice finish, spraying maybe the only option. Either that or a very fine brush. Just been looking at this and wonder if this would be any good with the waxoyl sprayer...

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

Not really happy with the finish the paintbrush is providing. I have also tried a rag and a sponge paint brush but they are leaving too many brush strokes even after 2 coats. Apart from using a sprayer, anyone else got any suggestions? https://goo.gl/photos/nUFAHU9FjJrTj77YA...

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

I will keep updating this link with the pictures - https://goo.gl/photos/uSpND145eDZbfVGj6 The pictures make the underside look worse than it is. The front beam is a bit of a mess and that is my next job. I have just surface rust treated the inside of the bumper and am going to waxoyl that as...

Anchor wax underbody (now how to apply waxoyl)

Decided to take the following approach - 1). Strip old waxoyl off with white spirit (turns out it is not waxoyl and some kind of other oil). 2). Use a grease remover to ensure all the oil and grease is off. 3). Treat surface rust with AquaSteel rust remover. 4). Apply 2 coats of black Waxoyl...
