i should also add that as my van is 2 litre fuel injected (which requires a good voltage to open the injectors) plus an auto, bump starting isn't an option!

the reason why i went big was when i flatten my leisure i know i can still chuck a jump lead off the main battery positive to the leisure ouput and run all my stuff and still start the van the next day.

if you have the m plate this will tell you via the m plate decoder site where the bus was 1st exported to, this is your best bet.

why strip for parts? just drive it mate, you ain't the 1st and won't be the last. It's mot'd and road legal. I'll give you £50 for the log book :lol:

form v888 is what you want, that said do you really want to know the "k" reg was scrapped in a fire/crash/other "5" years ago and they stole/bought a taxable late and swapped the i.d over....... i'd leave it - seriously, we've seen this loads of times, it's the same for landrovers/minis/anything...

This would worry me, ANYONE with a minor knowledge of bays would know it's a baddun.... i'm not slagging your mates by any means but they should have steered you away in my opinion.

As said above, m plate may still be on heater pipes behind dash some lates have it there. slider is on wrong side for rhd van unless it's had a steering conversion (it doesn't look like a twin slider) vin plate shouldn't be riveted on - the vin is stamped in the engine bay. we need more...

if the person who "modified" the van wasn't clever have a look for the m plate, either behind the drivers seat on the bulkhead or riveted to the heat pipes behind the dash, post a close up of the vin area in the engine bay - does it look tampered with?
