    Hot positive lead from Battery?

Thanks for the replies guy's, I reckon the battery has had it, so will invest in a new one. I'm positive (excuse the pun) that I had the correct lead on the correct terminal. Will get a new battery and try again. Thanks again.

    Hot positive lead from Battery?

Can anyone help..? The other day my battery was flat, so I trickle charged it over night and put it back on the bus. Turned the ignition on and had two bright red lights on the dash (oil and gen) so far so good... turned the key to start the bus and all I got was a click. Turned key off then on...

Hi Ian, I can't remember exactly but I think I used 6mm on the floor, then a 3/4mm layer pinned on top of that to level it out. (only because I couln't get 9mm ply) Dave

I did make a template of the cab section as this has all contours and cut out's in it. The middle and rear sections are pretty easy to measure as they are basically rectangle. Also it depends of if you have a rear interior light in the roof and if you have a rear hinge covers or not...

    Opinions please

I'll third that! It sounds more like you have hit the wall.. a bit like runners do, you just have to work through it. Just tuck it away somewhere and see in the spring how you feel. If you don't, in years to come you'll be kicking yourself, trust me I've been in similar situations with various...

    how far should i go?

Hi, before I got my microbus, I was talking to a seasoned air-cooled VW driver who told me they stop for about 15-30 ins every 2 hours or so just to let the engine cool down. This is what I stick to and my bus seems to appreciate it. !

not the reaction i was hopeing for

Mmm.. ok that's something to think about then. The rear and middle sections are pretty easy to measure, simply measure from the bottom of the 'J' runner across the roofbrace and down onto the bottom of the opposite 'J' runner. The difficult part is shaping the cab section around the windscreen...

not the reaction i was hopeing for

I was contemplating making templates for the cab section (as this is the difficult bit) out of 3mm ply and selling them at a very reasonable price, but haven't got round to posting the question yet.. what do you think?

    Phone question!

I cut a piece of foam to fit into the ashtray, sparyed it black then cut a slit in the foam so my phone sits nice and snug. Before I would have the phone in my pocket / glovebox but would never hear it ring! Now I can hear it and see the display light up.!
