as it says ,i put some colour on the bus toda (engine bay )was well looking forward to it ,first thing that come into my mind was landrover :? if any one has any nice pics of buses in elm green i would be gratefull ,if i am gunna change my mind now is the time. i thought it was going to be the wife and kids that wouldnt like it but  . i painted the engine bay as i have a pet hate of door shuts and wireing looms ect with over spray on ,glad i did now heeelllllllpppppp i dont know what to do

I don't think that looks that bad to be honest, It does look abit land rover but it'd be interesting to see what a whole bus in that colour would look like (sorry I cant help you with that!)

My mate has patina bus in elm green, very rough round the edges but very 8) !
I seem to remember a lad off here painting his bus at home elm green with a tan interior, was in volksworld & stuff, that looked fantastic!!!!!

I'll try n find the thread, so you know what it could look like done?

cheers for that ,was checking out your thread on your roof lineing. really wish someone would make some templates for the ply ,tried a while back and cocked it up

I was contemplating making templates for the cab section (as this is the difficult bit) out of 3mm ply and selling them at a very reasonable price, but haven't got round to posting the question yet.. what do you think?

i would gladly purchase it ,would be even better if you could do the whole roof, maybe a paper template useing lineing paper or something on those lines ,cheaper postage for you and a tad more profitable to ,ive just found some nice tile trim to replace the j tube ,its stainless :D

Mmm.. ok that's something to think about then. The rear and middle sections are pretty easy to measure, simply measure from the bottom of the 'J' runner across the roofbrace and down onto the bottom of the opposite 'J' runner. The difficult part is shaping the cab section around the windscreen. I'll have a think about it and maybe post the question to see what reaction I get! Thanks.

would be a great help to many i think ,theres a few peeps on here that want wooden headlineing i think :D :D

I'm sure someone used to offer a set of templates for the westy headliner, maybe strongy or grazy, someone like that, maybe try searching.....
