    I also gave my ply 3 coats of varnish, with rubbing down in between coats. And I also gave the rear (surface facing the roof) 3 coats just to stop any moisture / damp getting into the wood. Dave

    If you have small holes either side of the rear view mirror it sounds like it may have been screwed up, due to there being no support for the ply across the windscreen. Or as someone else said, for poppers for the curtain. Here is how I did mine...

    Hi Kim, I am i the UK, but my microbus was imported from Sacramento 3 years ago. The reason I wanted a US import is because they are so solid compared to most UK or European buses. I agree this site is a great source of info. Thanks.

    Hi everyone, well I have finally got round to signing up to earlybay... even though I have been trawling through the topics / pages for about 18 months. I have always found the infomation very helpful and useful. I will add some photos of my '69 bay when I work out how to!
