Can I assume that either everyone is running drop spindles or that as its only been dropped 4" so not to worry or I am asking another stupid question

lowered / long throw ball joints

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some lowered / long throw ball joints. The bus is only mildly lowered (approx 4") but I understand I still should be using the standard items. Cheers

Yes please, would be helpful. Could you also please see how close the spring is to the end if the beam :D

Lowering Gurus wanted - The Gaz shock thread

Sorry to hijack the thread but can anyone who has bought / fitted the gaz shocks tell me the overall diameter of the spring as my existing shock seems to be ever so close to the narrow beam end plate and I wonder if a coil over will clash? I promise that's my last question :msn4:

Maybe an obvious answer but if you are to leave the beam springs in situ why go for coil overs? Is it to assist the beam spring as they are not thought to be man enough?

    Leisure battery charging

Mine is a sealed type so can't take a look I have an old optimate charger in the loft so was going to look to see if that would be ok to charge as I seem to remember it kept my motorbike battery good

    Leisure battery charging

Using some Halfords jobby I have had for years, says it ok for leisure battery's. Makes a loud humming noise when in use so probably should treat myself to a new one! I hope it recovers as I have hardly used it

    Leisure battery charging

Having not used the van much just realised my 2 year old leisure battery is dead as a dodo. Put it on charge but seems to drop 0.5 volt a day without being connected to anything. Does anyone know if this is normal or whether it will recover etc

I would think you could get away without the leaf springs but if there is nothing wrong with them then leave them in. You may need higher rated springs to compensate I guess. You would want the bolt mount distance but from everyones feedback I would expect the 16" ones should be right for most...

Lowering Gurus wanted - The Gaz shock thread

I am also interested in getting pair, group buy or not, however being a simpleton I have a few basic questions which hopefully someone can answer for me? If you run coil overs is there still a requirement for the beam leaf springs or do you remove them? If leaf springs are left in do...

    Heated windscreens any good?

Same here so I fitted one but was lucky enough to get it off fleabag for 50 squid. If you haven't been told they normally have 2 circuits within them, 1 each side so you need 2 lots of relays etc and some chuffing thick cable from the battery as it draws a huge loads. All being said and done...

I inherited one on my van and in my opinion they're **** and of very average quality. Don't waste your money, however it will cover up a hole
