I can vouch for this being an amazing bus, like Rob said he followed us all the way to ninove and back and his bus ran sweet, it looks so hard on the Tarmac too :-) Good luck with the sale, someone will be getting a truly awesome bus, the chassis work that has been undertaken is extensive too...

People have spent hours on their vans/pride and joy getting them roadworthy and making them look cool whether it be with original paint or with a full restoration, if this doesn't inspire you to love the original VW camper then id say your not an enthusiast really, also you obviously haven't...

Yeah we'd fit 8 in easily, at least when Rob sells his bus we can take his krew with us!!

Even with the 3/4 bed we had 4 sleep comfortably in there on the cruise to ninove!!

Think il go down the same route for now of using the fridge on 12v whilst driving then just have it as a cool box when parked up or on hook up if at a campsite, I still need to install gas at some point for my propex, maybe a winter project

very neat setup, not sure on gas safety certificate, dont think il bother with one but il do my best on a safe and tidy install

its ok im a fireman! :lol: if there is an engine fire the fuel tank will blow before a cylinder, il not be near the van by then anyway!

Only heard by word of mouth about gas safety cert so maybe not an issue, iv heard of Devon conversions fitting the gas bottle in the battery tray opposite the battery but I guess if your running a leisure battery then that's that idea gone unless you reroute some wires

Im going to be running a fridge and hob from a gas cylinder under a buddy seat or cupboard in my bus. I know its meant to be in a sealed box with a certain size hole cut in the floor of the bus, has anyone got any pics of how they have installed a gas cylinder in their bus and also I heard that...

Iv imported a few busses and never insured them until a day before I take them for an mot, hope that helps
