Yes, it’s possible, if you pull the engine forward an inch off the mounts. Means the engine and all wiring etc can stay connected, just remove 2 mount bolts off engine and off gearbox mount.

After a few days trawling the net, it seems GSF car karts does the plate as a stand alone item FYI

The clutch spring plate is definitely 230mm dia. As for the clutch itself I am unsure at the moment but 200 looks about right.

Does anyone know where I might get hold of either; 228mm early Clutch pressure plate or; Centering ring and pressure plate springs? I’m loathed to fork out for a whole new clutch after doing some damage to the above through fitting with a late guide sleeve

For those that may want to know, the answer is do not put a late clutch bearing guide on an early clutch. The spring plate will force itself into the guide sleeve and stop the engine and seize! Every days a school day. Pulled the engine this evening and found the issue, now need a new...
