    Volksworld Show 2022 19th-20th March 2022

I bought tickets for the Volksworld Show in 2020, but because of Brexit and Covid restrictions (until very recent) I won't be able to make it. I have 2 adult weekend tickets and want to donate them to somebody. Let me know if you want them and I'll email them to you.

I run a 1776cc engine with a 34PIC carb on it. But the carb was enlarged to 39mm.

    Side Window Fitting

I never heard of salt in dishwashing soap, but then again I never tasted it. It worked for me, but next time I will try something different.

    Yet another US Westy....

I used the Empi kit too, but only after having renewed the bushes. So different working order but worked great for me too.

Mounting a spot light / fog light on my bumper - bracket

I didn't want to drill holes in my freshly powdercoated bumper so I bolted them on the original bracket holes.

Rougue wire no headlights or indicators

What switch are you referring too? Do you mean the indicator stalk? You can buy them new, but mind the difference in US and non-US versions? The US version has more wires.

    Daft question on seating/cushions

The vinyl does feel very cold for a moment if it's cold outside, but just like with a chair or any other vinyl covered object it will heat up to your body temperature really quick. If you want to sleep on it I would advise to cover it with sheets or a blanket, because you will start to sweat...

    Table pics

I had this one installed, but at the moment I have no more table in the van. Also have a look at this: http://www.chippysworkshop.co.uk/

    Side Window Fitting

I did it like you said, but with some dishwashing soap on the rubber. I also used a big window suction cup to hold the window in place with one hand and pull the rope with the other hand. More convenient would be to have a mate help you out pushing against the window from the outside. Good luck.

Rougue wire no headlights or indicators

What wire do you mean? The brown one? A and D surely have nothing to do with wiring. Look up the wiring diagram on the Samba and check the wiring is ok. I did this wire for wire and after having restored every cable to good order, all worked...

    Increase your overtaking opportunities.....

If they broadcasted the Premier League on that screen, there would be no good reason for overtaking at all. Much safer

    Yet another US Westy....

Looking really good. I like the blue touch inside, it sparks up the interior. Have you sorted shifting gears? Mine had the same problem, but replacing the old bushes underneath fixed this completely. It shifts lovely now and it's a cheap fix.

    Big engine: any downsides?

I have a single carb on my 1776cc engine. It works just fine. Some renowned German engine builders swear it's the best setup with the single carb. I did bore the 34pict3 carb to 39. But even with a stock carb and the right jets it will work
