    Indicator dimmer switch or relay

The wires are soldered directly on to the switch contacts, with no strain relief, mine had broken off. Soft solder does not like vibration, so there is a chance the fix is simple.

Indicator lights on speedo face 1970 Bay Window

Thank you! The dash lights are now working! I can't point to the fix, I ended up cleaning every joint behind the dash, and re-soldering the connections to the turn switch, some of which were barely hanging on by a few threads!

Indicator lights on speedo face 1970 Bay Window

Found a brown wire hanging off the indicator switch, re-soldered it, only to find it was brown/white, and was the headlamp flasher, so still stuck!

Indicator lights on speedo face 1970 Bay Window

Hi, my indicator tell tales on the speedo have stopped working, although the indicators themselves all work. I cleaned the contacts on the relay to no avail, so fitted a new relay, but still did not cure it. Looking for any pointers as to where to be looking, as electrics are not my thing! Thanks.

Found in my rocker cover - what is it from?

Really sorry, should have put something to scale it by! I have the heads off as a valve is leaking, and the engine on an engine stand, so when rotating the engine 90 degrees on the stand to get the first head off, this gremlin possibly could have fallen down a pushrod tube, into the cover.

Found in my rocker cover - what is it from?

All collets from top of valve springs are as they should be. I suspect the rogue item has come from within the crank case.

Sorry about the blurry pic, it does not have broken edges, is made of aluminum, and looks like some sort of C clip?

    OIL COMING UP THROUGH DISTRIBUTOR!

This is not a solution I would recommend, but it made me smile! A guy I worked with had this problem on an Opal, he "fixed" it by drilling a hole in the base of the distributor, and running a drain tube into the dipstick hole! Sorted!
