going on 4 months now, it's been a testing 4 months but early issues are being ironed out...really can't wait for next srping now!!

That's not too bad, although I'd probably want to replace the barrel also as its fecked...you can take the key out whilst the engine is still running, at first I though it was maybe a feature but my local aircooled specialist informed me otherwise :D

that sounds like a smart idea, I'll definitely consider that as I imagine replacing the lot will be expensive

Checked everything over in regards to the starter / alternator etc and it was set up as expected. Managed to diagnose the problem and it was down to the ignition barrel / switch being in a pretty badly worn state. The starter was basically sticking on so the scraping noise was simply the sound...

Campershop Bandit, used for the first time this weekend...easy to erect and big enough for our needs. Also has an inner tent that can be used to provide extra sleeping for 2 people.

after 6 months of resto work on my new early dormobile we managed to get away to Bala in Wales this weekend, she didn't skip a beat :D

Hi there, Hope everyone is good? Bought a 1971 Dormobile just before xmas, having some restoration work done on it and should be ready for March! First camper so very excited. Will get some pics up as soon as it's ready. Look forward to many years of camper fun, and trouble!
