    Role Call !!!

Well I'm one of the ones who rarely posts, but here goes. I'm in Kent and since I work from home not a lot has changed for me. I work for a large pharma company supporting the manufacturing and research teams, so I'm not directly involved in any of the treatments or vaccines that I know are...

    Scotland’s Route 66

Many many years ago. Be prepared to wait as it can be busy in the summer... But around every corner there is a 'wow' moment, especially in the Western Highlands. Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    Cunning's Brighton Breeze Pictures

The Go Karts were supposed to go behind the busses on the pavement, but the council hadn't shifted some barriers as they had promised to do. That left the karts nowhere to go, so they were put in the road instead. A bit more thought and I think it would have worked better for the show and the...

    Cunning's Brighton Breeze Pictures

I thought it was quieter than the last time we went, but there was some lovely stuff there. The Cool Flo disco van was quite something. I had a video of it, but I chose to record during a song which really isn't suitable for sharing on here! We had a really enjoyable time apart from finding...

    Mr Chutney - RIP

Hi, A few years ago I was in almost exactly the same situation as yourself when my wife died and I can fully empathise with you. I certainly add my thoughts and condolences to everyone else's. For what it is worth, I think finishing Pedro and using him is the way to go. We got Bluebell out...

    Brighton Breeze 2019 - October 5th 2019

I've not been for about 4 years. It sounds like it may have changed a bit since last time. We will be in Bluebell (1971 Bay, Florida blue and white). I don't know how we will recognise anyone, but if we do we will say 'Hi'.

    M Codes

That is brilliant, thanks. I hadn't come across that. Now to find out what a Trumatic SB gas heater is, whether I should look to reinstall it or whether a Propex hs2000e would be a reasonable substitute! I strongly suspect the latter!

    M Codes

I'm sure that this has been covered before. I have looked on samba.com and type2.com come up with the information in the picture. Does anyone know where I can look to fill in the blanks? Had anyone contacted VW about these codes before and if so what response did they get? Thanks, Iain Sent...

    Gear Shift Issue

I have a feeling that the locating pin never made it back in after the gear lever was removed to do a bit of work. Thanks very much. Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    Starting Issues

Thanks. The wiring isn't that old as it was all done when it was restored about 6 years ago.... But the terminals are a good shot. I'll take a look at those. Thanks. Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

    Starting Issues

The second issue I have is a bit more frustrating as I have never had a problem starting before Bluebell went she for her service (except when I run her battery down by forgetting to disconnect it when I put her in storage). Now every so often, and particularly when the engine is hot, I get...

    Gear Shift Issue

I have a couple of issues that I have no idea about...bear in mind I was ridiculously pleased with myself that I successfully sorted out the indicator issue (thanks to the advice from here...well basically I did what you lot told me to, but I was chuffed none the less). So, the gear selection...

Wanted - indicator Stalk for a 71 bus

I'm feeling quite smug...after so many years I have a fully working indicator. It's wonderful to be able to switch them on with a gentle nudge rather than having to haul it into position! Thanks for the help. Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk

Wanted - indicator Stalk for a 71 bus

Thanks - I took a look at the gap - it's 18mm and I can see that the plastic tab is miles away from the metal tab on the steering column. I can see now that it should work, and at least it won't have worn over the past 18 years! Is it just a case of moving the indicator housing up the steering...

Wanted - indicator Stalk for a 71 bus

Thanks, I'll take a look. I've put up with it for 18 years thinking it was normal! Doh!!

Wanted - indicator Stalk for a 71 bus

This maybe a daft question, but I am thinking my indicator may be knackered. Should the indicator have an auto-cancel? Mine never has, I've had it 18 years and never questioned it as I presumed they didn't back in 1971. Anyway, the indicator rotates as I use it (especially when I cancel it)...

    What’s your job ?

I am a Process Safety Engineer (Chemical Engineer) for a large Pharma company. I try to make sure the chemicals stay where they are supposed to be and behave properly. And if they are naughty and escape, I make sure we have plans and equipment to make sure that nobody is hurt and the...
