    FBH fuel tank location…

Mine's under the n/s seat, and the tank is in the engine bay with the pump mounted on the chassis leg.

So, after yet another aftermarket ignition switch failing I've had to strip the steering column again. I had a new switch in stock, but this was just as notchy and stiff as the previous ones. The good news is that I found an original switch in a box of parts.

Diesel heater fuel tank arrived and has been fitted. That was a nice easy job that took most of the day because someone had previously bolted a remote oil filter housing under the battery tray.

    Alternator

Unless you're running high output spot lights, or a massive sound system with amps and sub woofers, a standard 55A alternator will be more than adequate. As Justin says the higher the output the more it wears belts and saps the engines power.

Hinges and handle fitted. Can't find the handles I've stashed, so used this one until I can find those. The board is in place but not fixed, as the bed will have to come out to fit the flooring and trim panels when they're finished.

    Fuel Gauge - Inaccuracy

Take it out, give it a clean and make sure the internal float moves easily. Don’t shake it though.

New DVLA regs for over 70's

Nothing's changed. Once you reach 70 you have to reapply for your driving licence, and you require a doctor's letter then and every 3 years after.

Well, it's glued in place but that was an absolute ball ache. The trim comes packaged the wrong way to how it's fitted. And I have a strong love/hate relationship with contact adhesive. I managed to get it fairly warm and pliable before fitting, so just hoping that it stays in place. The...
