    From 1971MY the badge is Pastel White L90D, same as the bumpers. Unless it is a Deluxe model, then the badge was chrome.

    No, it’s a late bay headlight washer unit fitted to Swedish buses. Bit of a faff installing it as late bus floors are different and they don’t have low indicators to get in the way either.

    Found the reversing lights, and the indicator stalk. Which were in a box labelled spot/fog lights, go figure. Washer unit in for the last time (hopefully), need to sort a trim piece for the bottom.

    Just for clarity, Mk I Golf headlights fit 3 tab headlight bowls as fitted to US/Canadian market buses. Euro buses that use the Hella headlight setup with the 3 screw rims don't have the 3 tabs in the headlight bowls, unless the front panel had been replaced.

    Lights fitted, looks so much better with headlights in. Can't find the reversing lights though, probably in the same box with all the other missing parts. Still got the dash, etc to wire, but going to concentrate on getting the engine mocked up next so the engine bay tin can be sorted...

    Started on the new wiring. First job was to drill my early early dash for a hazard switch. New fusebox installed and switches mounted. Got a couple of small issues, washer microswitch has stopped working and a couple of conductors need resoldering onto the indicator switch.
