thanks for your replies. what is most noticeable in 'media' terms this year is that there seems to have been a real sea-change in how 'outsiders' (for want of a much better word) are viewing it... for twenty years we've had genuine and much appreciated sympathy for the bereaved, but that's only...

"you were right to go lower" help needed please

unfortunately they remind me of a certain 'social' schism from my dark and distant past. when i was a kid, and cared about such things, you could tell the real stoners by the fact that they spent pretty much all of their spare cash on dope, cos that's what they were into. you could always spot...

    Problems posting????

i've noticed a few weird things tonight ? for one, when i was replying to threads tonight, all was as normal until i clicked on 'submit', whereupon the words on the screen went huge and there were a couple of lines of gobbledygook across the very top of the screen like the computer print-out...

Help needed... Porsche front brakes !

i'm afraid, as i've said before, that i'm not really up to speed (pardon the pun) in the brake upgrade department, so i'd say 944, obviously, and then you start getting into that whole early / late / turbo / non-turbo nonsense and i've never been interested enough to research it further :oops...

Help needed... Porsche front brakes !

saying you are putting porsche brakes on in 5 on 130 pattern is still being about as vague as you can be to be honest ;) do you know what type / size of brakes and from what model porsche, or is this just a 'daydreaming out loud' kind of question ? stating the obvious, you'll need hubs...

    Identify mywesty interior

itent ? having heard of ipods and indeed iplayers, i can only assume that itents are some sort of ultra-portable micro shelter for the ting tings generation... brushed ally casing the size of a lipstick; twist the two halves through 180 degrees when the first raindrop lands on your cath kidston...

it makes me a little crazy

    Opinions Wanted PLZ :)

i was walking down our hill once a few years back now and i had the strangest compulsion to look back over my shoulder... almost supernatural in its intensity i glanced back a little cautiously, half expecting to see the ghost of a long-dead parent, or a long-lost childhood friend, but no...

it makes me a little crazy

i think i might have touched on a similar issue before i have to admit though... i live in a cotton-wool wrapped world of wonder down here, where i barely leave our town let alone the county, so having left the peninsula for a week's 'holiday' in nottingham this past week, i made sure i kept...

....i have of late-but wherefore i know not-lost all my mirth, forgone all custom of exercises; and indeed it goes so heavily with my disposition that this goodly frame, the earth, seems to me a sterile promontory, this most excellent canopy, the air, look you, this brave o'erhanging...

heh heh; sorry you're right ;) i must admit to being a bit straight-laced when it comes to my postings on here... to be honest the idea of clamping a turtle to the side of my bus hadn't even occurred to me

yeah; stock 1600 ratios and a 2000 R&P... all good stuff but there's a world of difference between cruising @3200 and cruising @1200  that's like well out of the power band, the fan won't exactly be thundering round, all sorts of things... you'd have thought. but what did thought do ...
