My new 1955 has just made it to the Midlands courtesy of Laurie Petitt, which means my current engine is surplus to requirements.
It was in my bus when it was imported last year - serviced by vw camper co in Feb and has run faultlessly since. Starts first click, pulls well and seems happy to cruise at 55. It will happily do more but I don't like to.
So, it's a 1600 tp, totally standard, single carb, standard filter etc. it won't have the tinware because I need that for the new one, but assuming that Laurie has built what I think he has bult, the rest will go.
It's still in the van at the moment, so can be seen / tested. Happy to get photos or video. It's in Derby at the moment, likely to be in Nottingham from sometime next week.
Looking for £400, obviously needs to be collected.
