yeah , campers are having their "essential purchase" moment due to the "coffee table book" crowd, which is a mickey take , pushing prices to silly levels it hacks me off to see what some people want for what is pretty close to a glorified agricultural vehicle, even as recent as 2005 i got mine 4 £2650 with full mot.

£1500 seems cheap even for the late 90s
My first bus, a 70 tin top Devon cost me £1k in 92/93, a good split was about £2k - 3k then and out of my price range... I sold my bus for £1k in 97 and then then prices started going up!

you`d struggle to get a beetle for that in"those days" but in fact of what it actually costs to restore a 1950`s van even if you do it yourself then i truly believe the current market values are cheap>>>let me explain...you want a 1950`s split eradicated from rust and painted to be reliable and a nice interior? well i`d like to invite ideas of how many hours labour and what the price of parts that it would cost...without any profit...guess away

My dad had a 61 double door panel in the early 70's and scrapped it

He is most pissed off now
