1969 Westfalia bus from California
Available next monday september the 17th in the London area is our 1969 Westfalia we shipped from California to tour Europe in. It is in very good condition, the paint is only one year old and it still shines like new. The Westfalia interior is complete and in very good condition, including the hard to find stool. The pop top canvas and the upper cot canvas are new, it also comes with the child's cot that goes over the front seats. All the rubbers were replaced, and many new parts went in, too many to list, all this parts came from Wolfsburg West and West Coast Metric in California, I have all the receipts. The engine is recently rebuilt, you can drive it anywhere. The brakes were done all around. It comes with a factory installed cigarette lighter and a Saphire XIV am/fm radio.
There are a few things that I couldn't do before I had to ship it, like replace 2 pieces of plywood, the overhead front piece has a crack on it, and the side piece next to the rear seats could be replaced, also the front seats need new covers, they are still the original ones. The bus has a tourist permit so you are responsible for any import fees to your country of residence, I have the title in hand. Please email me with any questions. I've had a few offers so I will take 8000 gbp or best nearest offer, Thanks.

Welcome to the site 8)

Any tales of your travels, cool pictures etc, seen the bus advertised on most of the Uk Vw sites

As an imported bus, there would be 17.5% VAT to pay, and £50 import duty (if this has not been paid), before it can be registered in the UK

Gone up i see!! , your best offer was 7k last time i saw it advertised

Well worth it, if its as good as the photos

The price didn't went up, I just got a few offers and I don't want people to think I want them to bid ebay style, there is a few parties that want to see it this monday and that is the price that I would like to get, but I guess I'll take the closest offer to that.
The bus does look like in the pictures, it is very clean, not perfect but very nice.
I been watching slamm's bus on the websites for a while, that was I nice bus, how much did you end up getting for it? If you want to share that of course.
Well I bit about my self, I'm a Mexican dude now living in sunny San Diego, California, for the last 10 years.
My first VW was a 1969 baja bug convertible I drove back in High School.
I bought my first bus 3 years ago as a gift for my wife, fixed it up very nice and decided last year in July to take a month long vacation in europe and we shipped the bus to travel in it, sold that bus to a nice gentleman from London and we liked the experience so much that here we are again.
And we'll be back next year in May, we meet some people from Austria and Italy that we promised we'll visit them. I have a 1971 westfalia project waiting for me at home, thanks all for your nice comments.

hi, mine sold for £15750 to a very nice guy in ireland

your bus looks very nice, get them vacation pictures up 8)

and dont forget to show us your project. 71 is the best year so im told

That bus was well worth it I believe, I'll work on getting some pictures up, and I'll get some pictures of the '71 project as soon as I get back to San Diego, it is a tintop blue westy, I just got it before coming up here, very solid and straight. Thanks.

Very cool, awesome weather and nice city to live in. Buses from this area and up the west coast are always in great solid shape. Mine lived in Berkley California from 1970 till just a couple of months ago.

Hello Juan, hope the sale went well. I remember talking to you when you bought your last bus over. I was working on the ferry you took to France. Tried mailing you afew times with some parts requests as discussed but never got a reply. Hope you enjoy your european tour. J

Very nice bus. Don't mean to hijack, but does anyone know the paint code for this bus. I want to paint my 71 Westy project the same color. Love the white rims like that too.
