Original Wide 5 & small lights California bus that needs a bit of work but is a good solid example, Westy interior and westy roof panels in good condition, Cab Bunk and poptop single bunk still there and the coolbox has original shelf. Still got the original canvas on so this might need changing as there are signs of damp in the corners where its been stood.
The body is in fair condition, It has had a re-paint sometime in it's life ( i would guess at at least 10 years ago, maybe more) the re-paint isn't the greatest but it is shiny in places. It has scars of the road on most panels, scratches and dents here and there. The front panel is the worst by far. Both rear corners have some filler in them. There isn't any rust in the cab floors, no rust in the sill panels, no rust in the chassis or belly pan sections. Underneath the bus is in great shape. Cab doors and slider are also in great shape. There are a couple of minor rust issues around the 1/2 moon cooling vent intake. It's certainly got that patina, ideal for a rolling restoration or use as is!
The engine is a 1600 with twin single choke carbs, a bugpack exhaust and electronic ignition. It runs really well and starts first time.
Items that my contact in the states has found and will need work are the following
1 - track rod ends
2 - no steering damper
3 - horn doesn't work
4 - washers don't work
5 - handbrake performance is poor
There may be other bits but nothing on the list is a major issue and all are just service items.
