1971 Westy Poptop CALIFORNIA camper van that is STRAIGHT!

A few small holes the size of a US quarter/pound coin on driver front floor, and a few small holes on battery tray/even that is solid, and some very minor bubbling under what appears the original front window seal, and that appears to be the extent of rust on this camper.
Paint appears to be original, the passenger dogleg rivited CA and Westy Import Stamps have original rivets and no paint residue which is often an easy indicator of a respray in that area.
Front window seal appears very old and cracked, original glass w/ a foreign/European 1971 sticker/see pic in link? Small plastic circle seals in rear below bumper line are present w/o any paint, even the engine lid rubber hinge seals are present(these are usually long gone or painted over). The paint does have areas of small scratches thoiugh as if being prepped for paint/sanding, it's also very chalky in areas, you rub your hand and it comes away white. See pics.
Rockers are excellent, underneath has the extra original factory layer of sheet metal to keep protected, front inner wheel wells are still very clean as well/see pics.
Interior is all original with all cabinets in great condition. Nice ceiling and side wood paneling. rear hatch cover is ugly though. all original mustard colored interior seat covers, I will INCLUDE a NEW set of rear covers that buyer can install. Original westy flooring under the back carpet, comes with the Westy Stool as well and the mosquito net and childs cot. upper poptop canvas needs to be replaced. Included is the complete Oil Bath for engine and rear engine apron as well.
Dash is nice w/ original black radio hole face plate.
Front seat covers are newer. NEEDS front door panels/cards, front rubber mat, front floors resprayed, and a driver side cardboard kick panel.
Mechanically I was told by prior owner that he pulled the engine to have a new clutch installed but his mechanic said there was a lot of endplay in engine and he was better off rebuilding engine while it was out. Yes, there is endplay on engine which sits carefully in rear of van above the engine compartment.
After market ignition w/ key, 1 original key fits all other locks except driver door which has a broken tumbler.
I can also include another steering column w/ original ignition/no key if requested.
Clean CA Title, Sale Price of 5000 Pounds will INCLUDE the van being delivered to the Tilbury Port in 6-8 weeks after sale is finalized with all import duties and fees (approx 400 pounds being the responsibility of buyer). For an extra 300 pounds, I can have
camper delivered to a Storage yard in Derbyshire which would cover the import/duty fees. VAT is buyers responsibility as well.
Feel free to ask any questions or request specific pictures, and again, this is a very straight and solid and complete Westy camper that will be a dream to restore!
