Refurbished and ready to go our own Westfalia Pop Top Camper with 12 months MOT and tax exempt.

1971 VW Buses are one of the rarer combinations being the first year of servo disc brakes and last year of those lovely earlybay features.
This Pop Top Westy is complete with all its accessories, this is not a trailer queen you'll be afraid to use - we have kids too.

Inside has been detailed with new parts in keeping with the original factory finish;
  • Original westy mustard classic interior layout
  • Front and top bunks, and original westfalia circus tent in very good condition
  • New full set of birch panels, new werksberg door and kick panels
  • Handmade icebox with 12v Coleman cooler fridge - works great, original icebox available
  • Fanchers thermal blackouts included, hook up cable and adaptors
  • Side step for the kids, new madmatz tiled floor, nice new orange roof canvas

Mechanically refurbished throughout;
  • All new brakes - ATE master, servo, front discs n pads, all flex lines, rear shoes n cylinders - stops very well
  • New windshield, wiper spindles, arms and blades etc
  • All new window seals and door seals - is dry and secure and no fumes
  • Excellent and straight bumpers with over-riders, new rubbers and stainless fasteners
  • Powder coated wheels and 4 matching correct rated tyres with plenty tread
  • Dual carb engine, german doghouse, 1600 TP, ratio rockers, 009, new clutch, battery etc

The not so good points;
  • Paint is not original, one repaint on the rear, new paint on the nose only - slight colour variation
  • Underneath could do with sealing - the old underseal is still there
  • Most panels have a small dent or scratch
  • Has a small patched hole on the drivers side floor (MOT was ok)

Reduced to £9500, for 40+ pics click here http://www.busandcamper.com/shop/1971-westfalia-pop-top-12-mths-mot-ready-to-go-camping.html

This is the Bus as we blogged our trip along Route66,

Price negotiable without accessories..

This is the Van camping in the Smoky Mountains in 2009 before being refurbished,
We have a full set of Fanchers screens - they're heat reflective and black out really well,
The tent has all the fixings and attachments and is a vibrant colour still - plenty of life left.

Beware of buses with the spare wheel on the nose - they're not designed to do this and our nose was compromised, so we replaced it..
The restoration of the nose panel - all blogged on our site -
