1972 VW HIGHTOP CAMPER
Here we have my Vw Hightop up Forsale, I bought this camper over 3 years ago in the intention of renovating it then keeping it but since then it has taken me an age and a fortune to get her up to the standard and originality she deserves, which results in me Selling her unfortunately.
In my opinion this is one of the best campers u will see in respect of being so solid and hardly welded, its had 2 small bits welded in the battery trays, apart from that the metal is shiny and rust free.
I stripped her back repaired any areas needing attention i.e dents and then primed her up this wasnt a quick process believe me. hours of time and effort has gone into this van so whoever buys it will be getting what you see not some cover up like alot of campers nowdays. after primer i sprayed her in original Niagra Blue and Pastel White and had the wheels blasted and i painted these to the original colour Chrome.
Whilst this was going on i had a new headliner fitted front and rear of the van, had the 2 cab seats and the rear bench seat retrimed, also i bought a front cab carpet set.
I also made a huge list of new bits which VWHeritage helped me order, these included....
New window seals, New seals for doors etc, new uk spec headlights, new front endicator lenses and seals, new aerial, new door reflectors, new rear side lights, new rear light covers, new screws allround and bolts, new CV boots, new battery, recon starter motor, new tie rods, new anti roll bar bushes, ball joint gaiters, i replaced the front beam with a stock width weedeater beam from Creative engineering, new front pads, new rear brake shoes, flexis, new brake servo, new master cylinder, and so on... the list is long!!
i replaced engine seals and the oil in the engine, checked valve clearences and cleaned the carb out
Anyways the Van is tax exempt and has a long Mot this is a very straight and very solid van and viewings are welcome.
