1973 (tax free) Volkswagen Camper just arrived from Vermont, USA. This 43 year old lady wants a loving home in the UK and needs someone with some welding and paint skills to bring her up to her previous best. She's a desirable walkthrough and pop top Westfalia model and has most of the original interior, just missing the fridge/sink unit.
The 1700cc engine runs ok and the brakes work fine. There will be some welding to do on the outer edges and it needs a dogleg on the passenger side. The chassis and frame are solid and the original German paint can be seen in the wheel arches. It also has Westy Jalousie windows (new opening knobs are needed).
The pop top canvas is original and has some holes in it and up in the roof there is a single hammock which folds away and is in great condition. If you can look past her makeup and flower power paint, you can see that this could be a great usable camper which will increase in value the more you do.
As this has just landed in the UK, it will need to be MOT'd then registered, which is quite straight forward - fee of £55 in payable to the DVLA. This bus will need to be trailered away - we have contacts who can deliver but please contact us in advance if you require a quote.
All UK taxes have been paid. The NOVA number, which proves that all taxes have been paid will also be needed to register the camper, that should be with me soon and will be sent on straight away to the new owner if you were to buy it now. The US title (like a V5) will also be needed and again can be sent on when it arrives. Chassis number is 2332185410.
