2.0 Type 4 engine removal

Right never done this before so gonna give it a go so I can tidy engine bay and engine up.

Any tips on removal??

Sorry dude, never done this before.

But make sure you remember the obvious.

Accelerator cable - Disconnect from carb(s).
Remove and not all electrical cables. Remember to make a not of where they come from.
Stick a jack underneath before undoing any bolts. :wink:

If memory serves on the 2ltr its as well to drop the engine with the gearbox attached and drag the lot out as a oner....

remember the engine and gearbox are a lump heavier than the 1.6....

stick the van up on ramps or quality axle stands with good ground clearance...

usual make sure the cables and wiring are off and labled and fuel pipe is clamped

soak all the bits in penatrant the day before may help if its looking a little cruddy...
