hi, have you people that run stroker engines had to cut off that piece of tin that holds the air filter (kinda looks like a plate) to clear twin carbs (44idf's) on cb manifolds? Whats the best way to do it if i have to , as i don't like cutting my bus up.

you can also bend it out the way, what i did for my twin carbs

that way it possible to put back to stock if need be

Clever this chap

When i fitted twin carbs, i was using the volksworld 'how to' which had been done on an early bay. Unfortunately for me having a cross over meant the air filter stand had been beefed up in design! Had no choice but to cut it out which then meant some welding repair work
Although now i have lovely twin carbs to look at.

I cut mine off to fit the twin carbs. I was quite careful to cut it off square.

I could weld a tab onto the plate bit I cut off, then bolt it back to the stub that is left. It would be easy to fit & remove for ever after that. It is a neat way to do it too...
