Ive thrown some 14" SA sprints on my crewcab today and to achieve my desired ride height i want to lower it 4". trouble is im not keen on kicking shades outa my ball joints and i dont really fancy the horrible ride. 9 times outa 10 itll just be me (15 stone) and the GF (feather light) riding in the bus but every now and again the van will be fully loaded. so can youi let me know if you run a 4" drop without dropped spindles and let me know how it rides.

cheers

Ash.

Mines down 4-5" and drives great. I used the Red9 coilover kit.

Don't forget that tyre and shock choice also contribute towards the ride quality :)

i have a fair grasp of shocks etc just the actual ride height thats bothering me. dont want it bottoming the balljoints out.

may be a little rich for me at the mo. think ill be going down the t2d adjusters route for the time being.

My mate has a 4" drop cut and turned beam on his 69 bay and it bumps and bangs a fair bit. Looks the business mind you. With adjusters and 4" drop you will be stressing your balljoints a fair bit.
