Well mine well and truly needs replacing now so I've looked into getting some reproduced. Unfortunately the setup costs are high and I doubt the demand would be there to break even on it. So do you think it's something you would be interested in? If there's a reasonable demand I'll keep trying to see if I can find something more realistic. Just kind of hit a wall with tooling costs.......

Oh and does anyone know if brake fluid is corrosive to ABS plastic? I found some conflicting views but I think it's a no no

You can count me in as a deffo :) fed up to death looking at a 69 one & that leaks a bit.
Think they're made from a nylon based plastic but not too sure.

If you're happy to look at it as a longer term return then I'd say it was a goer. To do on a massive scale would be prohibitive I guess but if you got enough to sell to individuals then I'm sure they would sell. NOS or perfect used are £50-60 so I guess that's a price point to consider per item.

Cheers for the feedback chaps :) With the prices I have been quoted so far I'd be looking at several hundred just to break even! I think that's probably achievable in the long term but I can't afford to have that kind of cash tied up for too long.

I'll press on talking to people and see what happens...........

I could be wrong but I'm sure I've seen these at custom and comercial (at VooWoo). Both upper and lower.

That would make life easier for me! Were they new or used? Just had a look on their site and couldn't find it so I'll give them a call later

After an attempt at buying an overpriced and supposedly good original one I made a small bracket to fit a later repro in the same place as my original(And having it leak all over the floor). I trashed the entire setup. Got rid of the upper and lower res. and pipe and mounted a late model Bug one (The rectangular res.) in the cavity under the front seat. Cut a small oval shaped slot under it for the lines to go through. Then used two Beetle plastic nipples in the master cylinder and ran blue hose between the two. I haven`t had any problems since.
