Thanks leon, Johnny, easy and Haveacamper. :D

Not got the parts yet, it will be a challenge, but that's part of the fun!

I'm not faint-hearted Araon. I'm not doing the resto alone, my wonderful hubby will be assisting me. :D

We're about 4 miles from Derby.

Thanks for wishing me/us good luck. :D

Yep, a donor with a rotten shell would be perfect! :)

You did indeed see it on ebay. :)

Hmmm, I wonder if it was the same one... :?:

My hubby bought it me from a lovely chap just below Bristol. :D

I found when doing my bug that pig headed enthusiasm and an optimistic outlook can take you a long way

Good luck, looks like quite an adventure!

Hi there, glad to see another '68 in a sorry state

I wish you the best of luck and if I can give you some advice already:
Consider to have it chemically dipped, it will give you a very clear picture of the work ahead,
and will clean off all the rubbish at once ! This will save you I don't know how many hours of dirty work and the clean up afterwards.
I know I would have done this if I could've turned back the clock!
Don't be alarmed by the negative things you heard, if the dudes know what they're doing, it's a very thorough way of starting a resto!

keep the pics coming !!

Just so you Know dipping a bus shell in acid and having it neutralised after costs £ 3000 quid .....I KID YOU NOT .

£3K will buy you ALOT of bus panels

Is this being done on a budget or are you blowing a stack of cash ???

Good luck for your resto sparkywig.

Thank you for wishing me luck giraffeinbath, Loxy, T2-Nate and Justin & Mutley!

Will be sandblasting it, as it's being done on a budget Gadget Boy.
