6V question (distributor)

Anyone know if its ok to fit a 12v Distributor to a 6V car?

Been told its absolutly fine and no other mods needed but just wated to check...

Yes it is a straight swap, but make sure the dizzy has the right advance curve for your carb vacuum signal.
