ACF 50

Hi All

Anyone know anything about this stuff, found the link on a Vespa site thought it looked interesting http://www.acf-50.co.uk/acf50.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Anyone used it? Is it a good alternative? Apparently it comes in aerosols so could be good for me

Yes its a very thin oil type material, I cover my bikes in it when there stored (not the brake discs) for the winter. It protects against corrosion and the stuff the local council cover the roads with from October to April.

Scottoiler do a version called FS 365 IIRC ? The ACF is aerospace approved so should be fine for 40 year old VW's :lol:

Its used a lot on marine engines and also has a v good reputation on my Harley Davidson club site, people cover their bikes in it at the start of winter, ride through the wet salty stuff then hose it off in the spring!

i use it on my motorbikes . 50k miles in all weathers and paint was amazing. not as good as a wax but sprays so gets into all the knoks link on a bike that u cant get to. i used to spray it on once every 3 months (overkill imo)

fs 365 isnt as good imo its thinner and needs morefrequent application. but it still works well.

id use a wax on ur van. whats the intended application?

Hi All

Vans wax oiled but i was just thinking of spraying it in any nooks and crannies i could find, is that overkill? Don't want my lovely bus to rot

good idea. spray it over places like gutters and seams would ensure anythink missed is covered. overkill maybe, insurance just incase yes.. good thininking there might see if i have any 365 left now !

When you say gutters and seams do you mean you can spray this on paint?

yeah. i soak 365/acf on my bikes. ill so that on my van i have 3 litrers of 365 ill let u know
