Hello

My wife and I purchased a 71 Westfalia Californian Import from Coolcampers in November.

The van is completely restored and and we have been using it for days out on any dry day we have had. We have a busy summer with festivals, including a couple of music festivals and then camperjam and busfest.

This is a first camper having dreamed of one fort a long time and we are spending a lot of time reading books, magazines and forums to begin to learn our van.

What we don't have is experience and at the moment the van is in perfect working order (touch wood).

We were wondering if there were any enthusiasts in Mansfield who would be happy to give us a once over before we hit the summer and also introduce us to some tips and a general once over of what to keep our eyes on.

Let me know if there is anyone out here that does this sort of thing.

Cheers

We're down in Kirkby Woodhouse, not far from you - there is lots of bay owners knocking about (me, Shaun - 68_early_bay, Lowie, fletch, lots from Midland Aircooled Collective)

Theres Deaddubs Workshop over in Langley Mill, Absolute VW in Castle Donnington from the top of my head.

Im no expert but if you want to drop by I don't mind giving you a few pointers - Ill have one of our bays home next weekend, drop me a pm if you want to call round (the kettle will be on)!
