advise on buying a van

hi all, m lvmg in spain and have been offered a n reg devon camper wthout pop top. most of it is there but rough it hasnt been moved for 16 years so all wndow rubbers gone, front panel and grll rough inside complete but rough they are asking 1000 euros what do you think. thanks

Hiya buddy, welome to the fold. 1000 E sounds cheap enough but it depends on the ``RUST' ' factor, as that`s the killer on most restos. Hopefully if it`s in Spain it may not be as bad as the rust we get over here being a drier climate and less salt and stuff on the roads. Whatever you think it`s going to cost to restore ,,, just times it by ten :shock: As that`s what usually happens,, bit by bit it all mounts up. But if it`s not too rusty I`d go for it. Don`t forget LHD bits are easier to get than RHD, things like sliding doors etc etc. I personally wouldn`t be able to go and see a bus for 1000E because I know I`d buy it :lol:

thanks for advise its english rhd ill think ill have it . ive got a 72 camper that needs a respray so ill do up the 1000 euro one then spray both together
