if your budget allowsi tthen you may as well, it may look odd, or your faded paint may let the rest down.

Hi!

If the OG has come up well with compound, I would stick with the stock faded paint, will look cool all polished up and fading - mine is OG except for the rear corners which are a shade or so too light, but i hope to get a bodyshop to blend it in.
For me if you can get is OG so much the better, shame to paint it when it has such a nice patina!

P.S Where in Somerset are you? I'm moving to just outside Wincanton @ the weekend!

mines the same colour as yours and off to the bodyshop on 08th of september to have work done on the front panel  I work in a garage with a lot of blokes with a lot of opinions!!!. only one of which owns and apreciates classic cars(got a Tina 1600E).Ive decided to machine polish the whole of the body(except frnt panel)so the paint match can be at its best. Will see how it goes.Good luck with your choises by the way

went and had alook at it tonight, got the chap to polish back corner with his machine come up allright. :? walked around the van for two hours, told him to go a head spray the lot.

still not 100%

This will give the best result, would be tricky to colour match/to make look "right" otherwise.
At least you'll get a uniform colour and finish this way.
