thinking of gearing up for some kite surfing.i have no knowlage at all,anyone do it and know what i need to consider,kite size,board size.where to shop,what not to buy.like i say i really havent got a clue.typical i sold my wetsuit last year so will need one of those aswell

any info on this would be greatfully recieved
 
done it a couple of times and it's fantastic but more an ex-windsurfer/ surfer.
Also used to work for a wholesale company that supplies/ imports kitesurfing gear but not really knowledgeable other than if you getting everything prepare for ££££

Most impotant I think is get some lessons if you've never flown a kite before. Infact even if you have flown a kite before as it's different to flying a kite in the park!

Im looking at doing the buggy kite thing later on this year as its great for early morning beach fun! Im **** at surfing tho, so prefer some wheels under me arse! :lol:
 
If youve got a windsurfing background you should take to this easily as you will only have to learn the kite craft which compared to the board craft is quite easy.
I did a 3 day course a few years ago which you dont have to do but comes in handy if you want to rent gear on holiday etc.
