The picture in the link below shows the carbon can setup on a type 4 engine. It is connected to the crank case breather and the fuel tank breathers. The outlet then goes to the air filter to burn off through the engine.

The setup was to help with US emmission laws, and not fitted to UK vans as far as I'm aware. So useless someone knows different, I do not believe it is required.

Just make sure the tank breathers arent vented to the engine bay........You'd be surprised..... :roll:
