Was fixing my washers today and found this up behind the dash, anyone give a clue what it is? Looks like it’s seen better days?

I know this !!!! It’s you’re Dormobile roof up switch flasher. It’s bi metal contact that controls the warning light on your dash.
Let me know if you need wiring diagram as I have just refitted mine

I wasn't aware that Dormobiles had a roof-up warning switch & warning-device.

My 1973 VW 1600 Type 2 Westfalia Continental elevating-roof, has Volvo 300-Series rear-hatch gas struts, one of which incorporates a very neat courtesy-light switch, which can be used as a roof-up warning switch.
