And no, you won't like it ,you will love it! Was as nervous as hell when I picked mine up, but have not stopped laughing yet and have been advised that surgery will be required to remove the grin! Still, that was only last Christmas so there is time yet...

i bought my bus after doing a lap in a field! i loved it, i still love driving it, you will love it!

best feeling in the world once you get over the initial fears, its a real stress buster, just wait to see how many smiley faces youll see, and you made them smile

bought my first bus without driving it, drove it back from surrey to essex via the M25

I bought mine 'blind' on the samba, hadn't driven one before it. Enjoy it. ;)

all busses are the fookin nuts boys and girls and don`t we know it......never have i laughed so much driving and holding up all those miserable motorists behind ....evil ha ha ha ha

drove it to the end of the drive today  all of 6 inches
cant get any plates till monday ish

Just drive it mate dont worry about plates mate . Cops wont worry will they ???? :)

bought my bus blind on ebay and the first drive was all the way from preston to nottingham. it wouldnt accelerate without spluttering. and wouldnt do more than 50mph. it took ages but loved it. i cant wait till the day i can get to drive it again. just wish i had driven it a bit more defore i ripped it to bits. the advice i give anyone now is drive them till they fall to bits and get as much enjoyment out of them when you can.

I remember picking up my 52 from Karrman Konnection on the day of the July Bombings in London.

I left Cardiff at 8 am and when I got to Reading I was told I could go no further. I somehow managed to get a lift to Gatwick then the Gatwick flyer. When I got there 8 hours later Richie told me the bus had failed its MOT and he was going to do some quick welding

He was true to his word and at 6pm I left Southend. The bench seat had no springs in it, and I had never driven a LHD.....then there was the fact it was a panel :| And if anyone has been in a Barndoor you will know how sparce they are, the indicators are a switch on top of the pod.....I've never been so nervous in all my life.

I got back at 3am and tucked it away in my garage...huge grin

Early bays are like driving a new ford focus compared to that......and I love um

Drive it and enjoy it. 8)

when i bought my 1960 vespa, i bought that blind too (few too many beers one night). i decided to go and pick it up from shefield back to nottingham as i had picked a route out on a map. went to get it about 7pm one saturday night with no licence having never driven a classic scooter. the bloke i got it from had obviously never riden it as the position he turned the petrol to was only half open. 2.5 hours riding what was the most underpowered thing i have ever driven. got home frozen solid at 10pm.
