Hi all,
I am after a hard, long lasting wax for my bus to help protect it from all the elements.
The best one that I think I've found is "collinite 476s".
Has anyone used this and if so would they recommend it?
Cheers
Yes, and yes, I use it on the rubbers too. Very good wax, lasts for months and months, but to be honest, it gets a wax more than that, maybe every few times i wash it, assuming it isn't freezing - i'm off outside to wash it now.......
Highly recommened by me, much better than autoglym, and even the extra gloss protection autoglym. Lots of reviews online, i think you have found that out.
If i have a scuff on the bumper for example, i'll still use autoglym to polish the mark off, as it contains mild abrasives, 476 will polish the top, and not rub the paint off like other polishes will, it's a wax coating, not abrasive.
Maybe get (or buy) a machine polisher, Silverline ones are about £70, use some G3 or similar to get rid of the dead paint and just 476 the surface.
Any rusty bits, such as some bits on my gutter, i just Ankhor wax, but was doing this before i found 476
Cheers
