ball joint removal

tried to remove my ols floppy ball joints yesterday. 6 tonnes on the press and they didnt budge an inch. what do peole on here do to remove theres
 
You might need 'some' heat. One way is to cut the joint open, take out the ball/bolt and weld a big bead inside. This usually does the trick, and old joint drops off with a gentle tap of hammer. Like this:

cheers guys i'll give it a go tonight. wish i'd sent the arms to cool air but over a month turn around would have been a long wait

looks easy but i dont really get what hes doing? grinding the outer edge of the joint? wont that damage the trailing arm?
 
removed all four in an hour tonight. used my grinder on the back, then knocked it through, then used a hacksaw to cut two slots to remove a 10mm slither, then caved them in on themselves so they fell out. not as easy as the you tube vid but i didnt use 1.5 welding rods per arm. chuffed to bits. looking forward to receiving my black por 15 now.
