Does anyone know about this system as discussed here:

I would like to fit this system to by bus, but what is the device to the right, looks like some kind of large relay with a diode in it?

Can you buy the relay 'device', if so, where from? :D

Don't know if you can buy the device. But its essentially a push button switch with a bulb in it. You can press the switch to momentarily check the bulb is working, but it will also light if one of the brake circuits is not working.

My bus had one in the dash when I bought it, but it damaged beyond repair so filled the hole in with black milliput and did my best to mark the area the same as the rest of the dash with a cocktail stick! Not easy!

Thanks for the information Riepecha! :D

That makes sense as I kept reading about a 'push button LED' on the Early models.

Looking at the circuit flow, it looks like the LED warning system for low pressure should still work without the push-button LED test function as it seems to use the brake-light power to flow back to the LED and switch it on to warn you, unless both switches are activated by positive pressure in the Master Cylinder.

I think I just need two of these wired in the formation above:

Bit more info here - the switches are available second hand but current asking price is around 30 quid a pop :)

Ive got one if you want it for £30 posted. Took it out for the MOT. Don't intend using it

Great find, excellent information, thanks buddy!

I don't think I will bother trying to source the push-to-test switch. I'll probably just wire it in to come on when there is an issue, then test it each time the brakes are bled...
