I don't know what the hell I'm doing wrong but cant get my brakes to bleed.
She's a 72 xover with the servo and a compensator. So give you a brief history shes a dry import that I bought with the brakes not working as reservoir empty, filled up the reservoir and soon found out the master cylinder was leaking as has a small hole in the casting, so bought another master cylinder fitted up and renewed the reservoir to reservoir pipe, but she wont bleed (dry as a bone) . The fluid is going somewhere as filled the reservoir again but we did try for about 2 hours.
cracked open the nipple on the compensator to see if that was getting fed but no joy there either

Anyone got any ideas and no there is no fluid leaks

I assume you have removed the bleed nipple on the compensator to make sure it is clear.

Crack open the joint on the master cylinder to be sure its filled. Then check the pushrod adjustment is not too tight since, if it is, then the MC isnt reaching its max outward travel and hence wont draw fluid for the next pump. It will simply pump the same fluid up and down the pipe.

Yep bleed nipple removed and all clear but no bloody fluid

When you say crack open the joint I take it you between cylinder and brake line. Haven't touched the pushrod so will have to get out the Haynes to see whats involved as I'm guessing if I adjust it to far I can knacker the MC

Cheers for your help ;)

how much fluid are you putting in keep the resivour full and as long as its not leaking somewhere (should be obvious) and all adjustments are right it will eventually fill, only do one (starting at the furthest away from the MC) and working to the closest it will eventually fill.

you could try, like we do on land rovers, open all bleed nipples only a fraction and fill the resivour up and leave it over night, you will get puddles at each bleed nipple si a section of tube in a jam jar is best. then if its all worked well and over night you have had a bit of seepage try bleeding it all again

Cheers Jacks I'll give it a go. Bit of a pain in the arse to get to it at the mo as at a mates lockup so we could do a lil bit of welding on her (that went well) then thought I'd fix the brakes before bringing her home but no fluid. Not allowed to be there after 7pm (i finish at 6 and cant tow her home because no brakes
