Bumper steps won't line up.help

Right ive put up with the cab step parts of my bumper not been bolted up but it's really bugging me now

I've had both the cab steps replaced on my 68 but the bolt holes do t line up to attach the bumpers to them,even if I fanny around with moving the bumper around.

I was thinking if making the slot on the bumper irons a bit bigger to be able to move the bumper a bit more.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Mine does exactly the same, but bolts only on one side. I reckon it was the ***** repro steps that I had welded in to replace the rusted out old ones!
Another job to redo :x

make holes in bumper steps longer if that will work, had to do that on one of my old vans

Cheers guys.i think it is crappy repro steps.

Il have a go at making the holes on the steps longer,they're only like a half in short of lining up.if that.

Yep, enlarge the holes and use larger washers
