Campervan running not running sluggish etc

Poor start up and then shuddering, feels like a poor air fuel mix. And she has been back firing and popping. Better when warmed up but very sluggish, and using more fuel. Thoughts please, just a tune up?


This morning she will not start at all, I have a new engine run in to 500 miles and retuned at that stage. Now 500 miles later this again it was similar when it approached the 500 mile retune.


I was expecting to have maintenance issues but not complete black and white running fine and then dead. I will speak to engine fitter who has been helpful, but this is doing my head in!!

Sounds like timings out, could be points gap, plug gaps ,rotor arm dissy cap etc

just traced my vans really poor starting to valve clearances, might be worth a look.
