Hi all,

Was going to go for a bit of a city break in the bus next weekend, anyone got any recommendations for sites near these cities? Would be nice to be able to drive or at least get to the park and ride or something!

Thanks

Hi ya

I stayed last night at Bourn golf and country park, had a hard standing pitch with hook up for £10, showers and toilets were clean, we were visiting relatives only a short hop into Cambridge on the park and ride

We have used the camping and caravanning club site at Sheldon a couple of times now. It is convenient for Cambridge (30 minutes walk, regular buses from the gate), on the flat and the wash facilities are excellent BUT the wardens are overly officious, to put it politely. If you can tolerate that, it is worth considering.

Yes fine David, although you need to speak with the chap who runs the site as he's not connected to Gows and they weren't helpful at all. He's pretty flexible. No electric hookup, but the toilets and showers were good, and the nearest pubs are between 10-30 mins walk.

Just spoken with Rick and booked. This will be the shortest journey I have ever made to stay in the bus ... just felt like a chilled weekend without travelling far ..

See you soon

David
