We have owned “Fiji” since February 2020, covering many miles across the UK & France since then. However, we had the rare opportunity to purchase a one-owner T2 earlier this year, so this one is now ready for a new owner.
Originally a Devon “Devonette” conversion, the cabinets have been remade at some point but it still has the original rock’n’roll bed plus pop-top with hammocks, so can sleep 2 adults & 2 kids.
Reconditioned 1600cc type 1 engine with twin Kadron carbs & electronic ignition. Recently rebuilt, with good compression on all cylinders. Gearbox was rebuilt in 2022 and linkage bushes replaced, so it shifts nicely.
Although it’s a useable camper as-is, the bodywork does need attention, in particular the front end. We were planning to do this before the new van came along, so we have a top-quality Wolfsburg West replacement front panel that will be included with the sale.
Ideal project for somebody to put their stamp on. More photos available on request.
