So got our first camping trip in over a year next weekend and have our 6 month old joining us for his first time, Anybody got any advice on what to pack or not pack, we have elec hookup on this trip so will have heater

Thanks Mike

We took our little one when we he was 1 month old and we packed everything! When it came to bed time things were just stacking up and there was nowhere to move, so now if we can avoid it we don’t take the buggy, just a sling/harness thingy to carry him around during the day.

Also if you are staying at a big campsite they will probably have baby change facilities so you can leave out things like the bath and changing mat. For heating up the milk for the night feeds we used formula, the water was boiled and put in thermos which again saved faffing around at 2/3 am trying to sort that out.

He sleeps in a cab bunk now (10 months old) which we have modified with blackout blinds stitched in so he can’t roll out and land on the floor. We found keeping everything in the same place/box helped too instead of hunting round each corner of the van.

Other then that it’s great fun and babies love camping!

Have a great time. :D :D

if your on formula then a thermos flask for hot water to save having to make some up in middle of night
